2013. Welcome. I can’t believe you are here already.
I made a resolution to write more this year. I just ordered 2011 and 2012′s blog books. I’ve been writing on here for 5 years now. It hardly seems possible.
2013 holds big things for the Earle Family. I can feel it. Our biggest goal for 2013 is to enjoy the heck out of Florida and our family. My sister recently sent me a text that said something along the lines that I live in my own “perfect bubble”. I had to chuckle when I read it. My life is nowhere close to perfect and I have my own demons, but I also have so many blessings that I refuse to be weighed down with the garbage that life and loved ones try to throw at me.
My biggest blessing is my husband. He works tirelessly by my side to support, comfort, and listen to me. I did good marrying that man. With him by my side, it does not matter what fury reigns about me. I like to believe he’s thinking the same thing. We’re a good team, equally yoked and all that.
And then there are my children. Damn I love those kids. Not only do I love them, I enjoy being with them.
We’ve been making a list for what 2013 should look like. For one reason (or another) this may be our last year in Florida. Jake’s commitment with the Coast Guard is up in October and we are in the midst of some pretty big decisions on what we should do.
If this is our last year here, we want to make the most of it. We’ve got annual passes to Disney World (Merry Christmas!), and some pretty great trips lined up. On my list are Key West, Savannah, and St. Augustine.
I’m also traveling quite a bit the next few months with Simply b and will be heading to Mobile, Alabama; Port Huron, Michigan; Dayton, Ohio, Norway, Maine; San Diego, California; Klamath Falls, Oregon; Anchorage, Alaska; and possibly Honolulu, Hawaii! Whew! What a line up!
In the midst of all that travel, I want to:
Go to the beach as often as possible.
Lay by the pool and soak up the sun.
Visit the aquarium.
Ride our bikes.
Visit with friends.
Rent jet skis.
Tube down the river.
Kiss my husband.
Hug my children.
Enjoy every moment.
We started tackling the list today with an impromptu visit to the beach. It takes us close to an hour to get to the beach (with me driving), but I love it so much. It’s easy to put away all the trolls in my life when I’m there. That’s another goal for 2013. Don’t let the trolls in.
Here are some pics I snapped tonight. I just love my family.
